Pull the Battery Terminal Connector towards you so that it does not touch the Battery Terminal when you release it. Wiggle and lift the Battery Front Cover (10) out of the way – it should come out easily. Loosen / remove the two 10mm nuts (11) that hold the Battery Retaining Bar against the Battery.

Please call Ford (both your dealer's service department & Ford's Customer Care line) and let them know you have had dead batteries twice, if you have not already done so. As you can see from the dead battery threads there are many of us who have had the same problem and we are trying to get Ford to figure out the cause and correct the problem.

Ford C-MAX 2.0 TDCI Ghia - C-Max Flat Battery. I have had a persistent problem with the battery on my C-Max going flat after about 1 week when not usyed. The car has been to the ford dealer a few times but they have not been able to find anything wrong.  We have had a new battery fitted but this made no difference.  I have checked the drain on the battery and found it to not go below
