Jibby is right. That basically takes away the gore and gibs. I don't know how to remove blood entirely, but there is a mod on the workshop named Kaiju Blue Blood that turns all gore blue. Low Violence Launch Option exists for a reason. Then you'll want to follow this file path: [Drive you have Steam installed on] > Program Files or Program Files (x86)* > Steam > steamapps > common > left 4 dead 2 > left4dead2 > addons > workshop. Most mods are packaged in a file with a .vpk suffix. Find the .vpk file you want to remove, delete it, and voila.
Ok guys, go to your library, go to list grid view library somewhere around your top right corner of steam, right click l4d2, click properties, click on lauch set options, put remove-insecure and launch your game. :) Hope this helped. Do not include any spaces. in remove-insecure. Worked for me.
So I have a friend who already has L4D2 installed in his Computer. I got L4D2 recently and I'd like to play as soon a possible. IF you have them outside the workshop, you should be able to navigate to your game folder/addons and delete them (possibly need to delete lines from a text-file, too, not sure - But I think not). Workshop, yes, you have to unsubscribe, or they just D/L again. Goto the preset file Left 4 Dead 2.txt, found in the SweetFX\Presets folder and change the SMAA line from 1 to 0. ENB Version - If the game fails to start or the graphics are incorrect ingame, try switching the D3D9.dll with one from the altd3d9 folder. Copy one of the four and paste it over the existing one in the game folder. A long time ago I subbed to a crosshair mod and an ultra bright flashlight mod on the workshop. I've deleted the add-ons folder, I've unsubbed, I've wiped all the folders and reinstalled the game, and I've even wiped my hard drive recently to reinstall windows 10. Those 2 mods are still in my game. UV2A.
