Despite the knobby tires, the R1250GS was as impressive and planted on pavement as ever. The acceleration can’t compare with the Ducati Multistrada 1260 or the KTM 1290 Super Adventure, but it’s more than you’d ever need. Crucially, the EFI computer and throttle-by-wire work perfectly together, even just off-idle when the motor is cold.
